What is an ACA?

ACA (acrodermatitis chronica atrophicans) is a skin rash normally seen
in patients with late stage Lyme disease which is usually attributed to
Borrelia afzelii. It is sometimes mistaken for scleroderma. The ACA rash
indicates ongoing chronic infection.
